Ascorbic Acid is the pure, most researched, and biologically active form of Vitamin C. It has been shown to improve the appearance of wrinkles and skin discoloration.

While we do not have any added fragrance in our product, the natural smell of pinus pinaster bark extract, also known as maritime pine, gives this formula its distinctive woodsy smell.

Vitamin C can be used by all skin types. However, if you have sensitive skin or are new to vitamin C, we recommend applying BARRIER + ANTIOXIDANT TREATMENT or MINIMALIST HYDRATING MOISTURIZER before, as a buffer for the skin.

Our research has shown that the serum remains efficacious over its shelf life, even as the color changes. When testing product that was 18 months old, we found that it had roughly 19.5% ascorbic acid and still provided significant and visible improvements to skin brightness, firmness and fine lines and wrinkles. Additionally, maritime pine bark extract has a deep orange color which contributes to the color of the serum and will darken over time.
